I'm thinking of ditching my ugly 82 Seca tank. It's really starting to get to me :/

How easy would it be to swap tank, plastics & seat from an 83 Seca onto an 82 bike? I don't mind doing a little cutting here and there, but I don't have access to welding. Any tips are appreciated!

    The '82 Seca 650 was a one-year bike.

There were 1983 Seca 550s and Seca 750s but the 650 was only in the States for '82.

So what exactly were you going to swap with?

This would be a '83 Seca 750 or 900. I'd likely be cutting off most plastic behind the seat and reintegrating the tail.

What about a 81-82 Seca 750? Can anyone confirm? Looking at the pictures of the bare frames on google, they look quite similar

Let me know when you want to get rid of that "Ugly" tank; if it is in good shape, I will take it off your hands.

The 750 tank isn't a straight swap; if you search for a bit, there are a few threads on it.

and I'll put my hand out for 750seca side covers and those little rubber grommets.
