I had recently ripped down my entire bike to paint it. During this process I had my frame shot blasted. I believe the right hand pivot bolt threaded hole got a buggered up in the blaster. I did have it masked with blast tape but sometimes it doesnt stay on so well. So my right hand side pivot bolt will only go in about half way before it gets stuck.

I do not have a metric pitch gage to find out if the bolt is a 22mmx1.5 or 22mmX2.5. Could someone tell me which tap I will need to chase that thread?

    Thanks

your sure the hole is clean? are the bearings clean ?
if you put a regular H3 tap in it the threads are going to be real loose.
you want to get a H1 tap, $$$.

Yea, I cleaned the hole, bearings are brand new, the threads are binding up. I checked the hole with the swing arm off. Metric taps use "D" for pitch limit and the tightest i can find right now is a D3 which is a lil bigger then H3. Each D increases by .013mm which is slightly bigger then .0005". I will probably need to get the buyer at work to find one. Polock are you a machinist?
