Hi Guys. It appears everyone here is as fanatical about their XJ's as the guys on the Concours forum.
So.... an obscure technical question..... is the tach drive ratio on a 650 Seca 1:5?
I have a sick tachometer and would like to replace it as I am not smart enough to open it for repairs. MikesXS site has numerous new tachometers that work with a 1:5 drive ratio.
By the way, I have had my Seca for about 13 years, sweet, fun little ride. Not fast, not quick but I got it with some unknown aftermarket mufflers that make an awesome go fast sound without being louder than stock.
    Thanks,
    John

i am pretty sure the tach is 1:5. I know a number of members are running gauges from mikesxs.

Thanks for the info. Good thing, I bought a tach on E-bay for an xs650, very similar so all should be well.
Not over 7k rpm? Not for very long anyway. Sure is fun though.
