Ok, two questions. I have an 82 Seca XJ 650 RJ

    1) Is the tachometer supposed to light up? I noticed that the spedo lights up but not the tach.

    2) There seems to be a leak where the tach cable connects to the engine. I'm not sure if this is gas, oil, or some other fluid. Anyone know what this is, or what that part is called?

Please excuse my ignorance. I've only had a bike for about a week now, and it is still very foreign to me.

yes the tach should light up,and the tach cable goes into the valve cover so your leak is oil
