Hey gents... Could I please pick a brain?
I've searched around and it seems like there are several variations,
But not quite the same situation I've got with my '85 XJ.

Have Hi/Lo beam, Brake light, Turn signals, Horn, Gauge/Tree lights...

Don't have a running light. No fire at all to the Blue taillight
hot. No fire at the connection prior to the rear taillight wire run.
Brand new 1157's... Kinda stumped and scratchin'..?

Thanks so much for any and all! 8)

Running lights get their power from the ignition switch

Well got up and runnin' finally...

Had a screw missing from the ignition housing..? Just
wasn't making good contact, Causing the no running
light dilema. Sheez, what a deal. Did have a decent
opportunity to zip around early A.M. Stopped in and
got a 1/2 regular, 1/2 premium gas fillup. Went out
on the local loop and aired 'er out. Not just real bad...
Coming off of a Vulcan 750, (mushroom) and an ol'
KZ 750... Not too shabby. First Yamaha street bike
here and purdy pleased. One and only real complaint
would be the seat. Not just overly comfortable But,
    Certainly rideable/enjoyable..! 8)

    Waldo..!
Thanks bro, All was as you said... Ignition area.

Your welcome glad it was an easy fix for you. If you have not checked it yet you need to check the rear brake shoes for delaminaton. Several people including myself have found where the brake shoe lining has either completely or partially detached from the brake shoe metal.

Yes sir, I'll check it out directly.
Are you seein' it pertaining to a specific brand/mfg
or is it a design issue with the drum?
Thanks buddy, I sure appreciate ya'!

Just part of the design of the drum brake.

Doesn't matter who made the brake shoes or who installed them when they made the bike.

Doesn't even matter if it's a motorcycle or a car.

They just start to come "unglued" after sitting for lots of years.
