    I found some tank badges for (Tank Badge - Fits: 1978-84 XS650 (2pc Set - 1RH & 1 LH) - Gold letters. ) Would these fit on an 82 XJ650 maxim?

    Part numbes are different accordind to highlandsyamaha.com. They still have the old exploded view parts list.

    chacal carries the proper ones for your bike and they're not horribly expensive.

    If they fit I would have them on my bike right now. Unfortunately the holes are about an 1/8" off.

    The part numbers are similar to the ones I need for my XJ11, I wonder if they will fit.
    10M 24616 00 00 for the XJ
    5V4 24616 00 00 for the XS

    The measurments from center to center of the holes on the xs650 emblems are 3 7/8" and I thought the xj1100 xs1100 were 4 1/8". The xj650 if I remeber correctly is 4". Those measurements could be diffrent on the diffrent makes (seca,maxim)of those bikes so that may not be 100% accurate.

    xyxj650, you are correct. The XJ650 holes are 4" apart. I just received new tank emblems from my dad. Had a hard time finding ones that fit. Don't remember the size for XS650's. Got rid of that a while back.
