I just want to stop and THANK all the people that posted and directed me in the right direction.
I purchased my 1986 XJ700 last fall and wanted to make it mine.
So over the winter we replaced both tires, completely overhauled the front and back braking system, cleaned carbs and installed a inline filter, replaced all cables, new grips, and had a new coat of paint applied from the local body shop.
After using the two bottle sync tool and using my brand new colortune tool I am pleased at how she sounds and runs.
The only things I have left are to re-cover the seats and install some saddlebags.
This bike is in awesome condition, while working on it over the winter everything came apart great and I didn't find any rust on the frame or anyplace.
I am super stoked to get this out for its first year with me riding. I just have to stop looking at other bikes and wishing.
Thanks again to everyone and mostly Len for all his support.
    Brian

Very nice indeed. And it's gotta be satisfying that you made the bike what it is. Are those OEM mirrors?

Thanks guys, like I said it would probably sitting at some bike shop waiting to get repaired if not for these forums.
I hope I can now help someone else out as they venture into theirs.

Yes I believe they are OEM mirrors, I have not changed them.
