I'm having problems getting my plugs to look brown, always white even at 3.5 out, so maybe this crack in my aribox is letting too much air in despite its small size - intake boot #4. I've only been riding it 5 miles then checking the color, is that enough? I know I know get a colortune

There's this other concern I have of a worn lower venturi on #1. It's smooth to the touch but obviously some finish wear. could that have been from the messed up float levels when I bought the bike? (WAY too high - the clear tube method showed it up to the middle of the venturi)

Getting air in that side of the carbs shouldn't be a problem.
