The Saga continues...

Hey guys, so I have made some progress with the trials and tribulations of my bike.

- found plugs to be fouled badly. As in black and wet. New plugs coming.
- Air filter was soaked in gas. New air filter on the way.
- Found out that the gas tank has some crud in it. Never could get a good look at it, but I got my buddies nice 1 million watt bulb and took a look inside and well, worse than I thought. I would imagine that some of it got down into the carbs? I tried taking a look at the petcock filter, but the one screw seems welded on and I cant get the darned thing off.
I did disassemble what I could of the petcock and cleaned it and reassembled. There was a bit of a drip when it was in the reserve and a drip drip drip when in 'on' but those have seemed to have gone away. Hopefully that is a good sign and not a sign I clogged things up real good.

One thing that was a boo boo was the clutch cable has come out of the housing. I figured I would lube up the cable and readjust it, but when I was lubing the cable it started popping up at the housing and when I checked it out it came right out. Not sure what to do about that.

I also adjusted the mono shock to a bit stiffer for my large frame. Was a little shocked to see it already set at second top position for a guy that was a fraction my size.

So have done some learning. Wanting to get those carbs out, but I am hesitant as they seem like intricate pieces and I don't want to bungle them up.
