I was gonna make an offer on the front end to upgrade my 650. However, I just got all the stuff to rebuild my brakes.

If anyone is interested I may be able to help with receiving and shipping...

If enough ppl are interested in parts, I may consider picking it up and scrapping whatever remains. Of course, I would have to have dibbs on the front end.

Eh, maybe this will work... Tell me what your interested in and I'll keep note. I'm NOT looking to make any money here. As far as I am concerned, you could have the parts real cheap as long as everyone can cover the cost.

Post if your interested, PM what your willing to pay. If it adds up we might all score!

I can't Bob. Believe me, if the funds were available I would have spent the time it took to make my original post convincing the wife it was a good idea.

The guys out at the bike yard aren't interested in it w/out a tittle. I live in a duplex with no garage and on street parking. I have no place to keep it...

    Anyone else interested...?

A few things to keep in mind even without storage space or spending $$ :(

Other than a junk yard, the COMPLETE front end including the rim, fender, rotors, calipers, master cylinder, brake line log (splitter), triple tree/tubes and any other parts you need to swap onto a 650 would probably cost you way more than $150 on eBay (especially with shipping). On top of that there is that decent looking tank (at least in that picture) which many 650 owners want for the larger capacity and bolt on fit. (Tank would probably be an easy/quick sell in the for sale forum).

Now if you can find a buddy/relative to store the REST of the bike while you part it out, GRAB that CHEAP ass bike! If not some other forum member should and get it running/restored!

In regards to the 82 XJ750J Maxim's rotors, you will need to spend a bit more money than most other XJs to properly/fully restore them. Although others have had luck with "generic" seal kits that are used with the piston, Chacal does not recommend it. Instead we need to buy the more expensive piston+2seals kit. :(

    Recent Price Quote:
That being said its up to you if you want to try just the seals kits which are not guaranteed to work with our XJ750 Maxim (also XJ650 Turbo).

P.S. If you bought your 650 brake parts from Chacal and get the 750 front end, he MIGHT accept returns for credit on 750 parts. However, you'd have to work that out with Len.
