Got my bike out for a little ride the other day after its been stored in the garage for a year or so now (just haven't had time to ride much) and noticed that it ran like crap between 1100-4500 RPM's. It hesitates and pops when accelerating at these rpm's. It doesnt seem very noticable when you stay at a constant rpm. Also the bike starts fairly easily and idles at around 1000-1100 rpm's.

The only modifications done are a new petcock, inline fuel filter, and the baffles were removed from the exhaust by the previous owner.

I'm looking to sell the bike so I would like to get this taken care of as quickly and cheaply as possible.

    Thanks

Since you are looking to sell... Not sure what you willing to do/spend.

Usually the pro's will tell you to:
A ) Check and fix valve clerances - And replace the seal/rubber boots
B ) CLEAN, Rebuild and fully sync the carbs
C ) Check all safety items - IE brakes, brake lines, etc
D ) Drain year old fluids and change oils, etc

To sell, you probably only want it to run better. Probably a cheap and 1/2 ass'ed carb cleaning?

EDIT: Baffles were probably removed w/o rejetting/adjusting system... This could be part of the problem also

Check the quality of the Inline Filter.
    Blow through it.
It may look perfectly clean, ... yet the element not suitably porous.

Depending on the care with which you stored the Bike will effect how well it runs now that you have started running it.

If you left Fuel in the Bowls; you'll likely need to Clean the Carbs.
