Thoughts about THIS 1/2 synt 15w50 diesel oil?

So I've read a few topics here and have previously used motorcycle oils.

Castrol was used to top off as oil seeped out of valve cover. Valvoline was used on a recent oil change but will be drained because carbs leaked gas into my oil.

While at my local farm & fleet store, I was talking to an older guy and eventually he recommended this specific 1/2 synthetic diesel oil that was only $18 *edited for price* for 2 gallons. I forget the name of the parent company that actually makes it. *EDIT: CITGO*

So any thoughts on using THIS diesel oil? Should I use the diesel or Valvoline 4t for 500 miles to clean out still dirty oil after the recent change? Which to keep using?

    Fyi:
In Chicago-land and try to ride asap and until major freezes / black ice.
Bike has 22k but out of commission as I rebuild carbs slowly while working 6 day a week on 2nd shift.
I'm HOPING the diesel will smooth the normal gear clunking slightly w/o actually causing slipping.

    Overall thoughts?

    Honestly?

Use real motorcycle oil and adjust your clutch (or replace the cable.)

I don't understand the continuing quest to find other-than-spec oils that "will work." The bike takes less than 3 quarts of oil. Buying real motorcycle oil isn't horribly expensive. And in hot weather especially, you need a 20W basis-weight oil.

I know I'm crazy at times.

Maybe I'll just use it to FLUSH out the dirty stuff that is still in the engine. Then swap back the to real motorcycle oil.

The real stuff may be affordable but $15 for each "flush" change adds up...

My oil was REALLY dirty and turned black again after just letting it run for 5 min or so. Then I realized the carbs were flooding the oil because the fill line was somewhere way above the oil.

The best way to "flush" the engine is with regular and timely oil changes.

Oil always turns black, and it doesn't mean it's bad--it's a chemical change that happens and cannot be helped. You have to look at texture and viscosity, and remember that viscosity is a heat variable on engine oils and take that into account.
