Ok, so this may be the trivial question of the day. I noticed the other day that the play in my front hand brake lever was tightening up.

The cause was the adjustment screw was tightening since the set nut on the piston side was loose.

I readjusted, but can't figure out a way to really tighten the set nut. I've tried small wrench, needle nose pliers, etc. There just isn't any room to get them into the lever housing to tighten. I suppose I could remove the caliper and tighten. Otherwise I can only finger tighten it, which apparently is not enough.

Has anyone figured out a way to tighten the set screw "in situ?"

Isn't the nut supposed to be on the opposite side of the lever, that is not next to the piston.

I was thinking same thing, nut should be on the outside or the head side of the screw. It tightens against the lever.

Makes sense. A look at a parts diagram indicates you folks are correct.

I should be able to back it all out and place it correctly.

    Thanks for the input.
