took my first spill today, still alive

    Looks like I'll need a new helmet and some chiropractic work.

    Slipped out on some oil around a turn going 30mph. Took me by surprise for sure. The engine guard rail wore down about half an inch on the left side but it saved by leg.

    I was lucky to get up without a scratch. Watch out folks.

    As far as the bike damage goes, the drive shaft looks to be resting on the wheel. The clutch handle broke off and the front light is trashed. Not sure how much work is ahead, but I hope to be back on the road by spring!

    Full gear?? Bikes can be replaced people can't. Good to hear your ok.

    Porter, glad you're still here. Hey, the rear tire has very little clearance to the swingarm anyway, it's PROBABLY ok, just check it anyway.

    FWIW, I (along with many others) have lots of parts.........let me or anyone know what you need and we'll all hook you up.

    Good to hear that you're okay. It was 6 years ago when I had my accident. Since we've both had our "Dance with the Devil", maybe we can avoid anymore of that crap.
