... and snapped this pic: thought you'd all appreciate it. I picked this bike up a few years ago when I created this account and slowly turned it into the reliable, solid bike you see here: this spring/summer has been the first time in the three or four years I've had it that I've been able to ride it on a regular basis (due more to work-life related reasons, not the bike itself), commuting to work daily unless rain was a sure thing on the forecast.

There's a number of ways I can ride in to work, but the one that takes me this way is my favorite:

About the only things I haven't touched on in the recommissioning has been the exhaust (both silencers, or whatever they're called, have holes on their bottom sides) and cleaning/rebuilding the ignition switch/starting system, which gives me issues some times during warm-starts. I think that may also be due to me having not done a fully hot vacuum synch.

I'll be hitting those up over the winter when I also intend on doing a as much cosmetic retouching as I can muster, top to bottom, inside and out. I hope to also replace the exhaust (probably going to have to go Mac, they do a chrome 4-into-2 I believe), and possible relocate the rear turn signals to make way for side-bags. I may just keep my eyes peeled on eBay for a cargo rack that will work (XJ750s' would fit, right?). Haven't ridden two-up with my fiance yet (I'm a pretty green rider) but hope to do some of that on the weekends next year.

    Thank you for looking!

Check the forums on that MAC exhaust. Several people had fitment trouble.
