Torque specs...

    I'm replacing the engine covers (clutch, shifter, crank, etc.) but can't seem to find the torque specs in my Haynes manual. Also can't find my XJCD; it's probably at work. Can someone help me out with the specs, please? :D

    Perhaps if you post the year and model someone with the factory book will look them up for you.

    All engine cover fasteners get a mighty 7.2 ft-lbs. applied to them, except for the oil pump (YICS) covers, which, depending on which manual you choose to view, use either 5.2 ft-lbs or the customary 7.2 ft-lbs.

    Thanks, Len! My guess was close at 7 ft-lbs so I think I'll leave 'em at that.
