tricle charging

    hi fellas.is it safe to leave battery on bike over winter with plugs in with breather tube clear or best to take plugs out??

    best is to remove the battery and charge in a climate controlled environment
    Keep in mind the gasses that MAY be released while charging(ventilation is key)

    but the battery can be hooked up to a 1.5amp float "trickle" charger for brief periods with no issues(as long as all other equipment is in good condition, especially the battery vent hose)

    Well, one year I left the battery in on my bike with the slow charger and next day there was acid on the floor. The overflow did its' job. Every time I see that mark I take the battery out for winter. Place it on a piece of wood to have it slow charged.
