Hey guys, I've had a small variety of misc parts laying around in the barn for several years now. I'm moving out of the parents house and my own place hopefully soon! All of it was loaded this morning and I drove to a motorcycle museum/parts salvage yard in Indiana this morning. Turns out the fella there has hundreds of parts and is only looking for cosmetic parts and old sparkplugs, so he wasn't interested in any of these parts. So what you see below is all going to be pitched in the trash or scrapyard, if nobody here wants any of it. Name a price with shipping and its yours.

I could go on and on about this museum. The owner is a mid-70's aged guy who has been restoring and keeping vintage bikes from early 60's through the late 80's for forty-eight years now. I was astonished with just the rows and rows of speedometer/tachometer guages hanging on the wall, or any type of sidecover hanging from the rafters in the barn, or his Benelli 750 which is a six-cylinder. Literally any type of bike from Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Benelli, Yamaha, etc. all in great looking shape in his museum on the second floor of a pole barn. Very sweet showroom and I'm sadden to think that all of it will go up for auction once he passes away. Who else can afford to pay for his entire estate all at once?!? I've been to this place several times but only to seek mechanical work or purchase small things. Never had I seen or guessed what was behind the swinging doors behind the counter... truly amazing even for a 25 year old kid I'd say. Next time I'm taking my camera to show you all!

Anyhow, what's left in these pictures I don't want or need so let me know if you have an interest. Nearly everything is from a 650 but the headers are from an xj750.

What's that oil filter housing off? What year 650 max?

And what shape is the bolt in?

the oil filter housing came from an XJ650 engine. I bought the engine a LONG time ago for $75 hoping it would be a cheaper alternative to my compression problems which you haven't been around long enough to know or remember an upper engine rebuild I discussed and discussed on here with Fitz and Rick. come to find out the darn thing was frozen (seized) so i parted most of it out, hence the reason there's only 3 pistons (the 4th one was frozen in the cam jugs...)

I can't tell you specifically what year it was or if it was a seca or maixm (although that shouldn't matter...(?))

Upon glancing at the filter housing now, it seems to be in great shape with no rust or gashes. Also the bolt looks normal, just the same as my other two filter bolts on the bikes with no thread issues

Well the housing wouldn't be able to rust as it's made out of aluminum, but how's the head on the bolt look?

Yes it is a drag bar.

I could be a jerk and say I want $1000.00 since you asked...

but since its Sunday I'll be mr. nice-guy and suggest $20.00 (?) I really don't intend to make a fortune from any of these parts guys. If I don't sell them on here, they are going to scrapyard/dumpster...

send me a PM or email to aarmoeller at gmail dot com if interested

Everything else except for oil filter housing and the above items which were sold last week, is still available.

In summary I have two rubber U-bolt covers, a front rotor, drum brake with aluminum cover, another spare drum brake aluminum cover, two original headlights, drag bars, a final drive gear for shafties, some tranny gears, a rubber tank mount for 550 & a 650, and anything else you see in the pictures.

I'd like to scoop up some extra petty cash to assist my invoices for a new set of 550 chain & sprockets, in addition to rebuilding my 650 sometime this summer. Oh and for helping pay for my first home purchase closer to work as well as new hearing aids. Them last two purchases ain't cheap...I'm sure most of you have mortgage payments or else already have a house paid off. I'm just starting out in the "real-world" folks. Help a kid out, haha

Sorry the filter assembly & bolt is gone already. Somebody else liked what they saw in the picture(s) I provided. Anything else you'd like or consider having as a spare?
