Man, I'm new to bikes I've had a couple when I was in school and havent paied attention to them.
So I see that there are turbo charged bikes !! 8O
Now Ive driven turbo Porches, grand nationals, Vws and ford 2.3s. But I've never seen an elephant fly. Wow ! a turbo charged bike. Someone tell me how that feels. do they kick like a car or take time to wind. Do your legs fly behind you when you hit it?

Each of the 4 major Japanese factories made turbo bikes in the early 80's. Some were so so like the seca turbo for power while the Honda from what I have heard will just a bout rip your arms out of your sockets. I have the Seca 650 turbo and when the turbo hits its like a 2 stroke powerband. I have ridden the Kawi Gpz turbo on a racetrack way back in 84 and when going down Willow Spring's back straight and down the front straight it felt like riding a rubberband. Stretch it out, let go of one end and hang on!!!. If you can find one that doesnt cost an arm and a leg go for it. Right now my Seca turbo is essentially my daily driver and very fun at that.

I'm voting that as this months most exciting and descriptive paragraph!

Dinoracer ... showin' off the prose. Git-some!

That's what I like to see.
I'd much rather do some stuff like that than write ... over and over and over again ... "You need to have your Carbs Cleaned!"

Let me tell you what the best Yamaha Tech I ever met had to say about what to look for when a XJ-Bike came in for Service and the Owner couldn't verbalize what the bike was doing that brought it in to the shop for fixing:

"Those XJ-Bikes are Bulletproof. You have to try like hell to kill one. It's the Carbs; it's always the Carbs."
