Hello thanks for looking at my post

    I have a 1982 xj650.

I bought from po with the turn signals not working.

I don't know much of electrical.

Anyways, the po install after market turn signals. With non led bulbs seen below

After some inspecting. I learned that my 3rd. 10 fuse is getting no power to it. All the other fuses are getting power. From what i read in other threads this is the fuse for the turn signals

I also saw that the po install a led flasher relay. I'm assuming that this is not compatible with the older bulbs.

So any help or thoughts or comments are greatly appreciated. Also if you need any more info or pics just let me know.

    Thanks
    Tim

You have the wrong flasher. The 3rd terminal for the Yamaha flasher is for the auto cancel function.
The brown wire is 12v+ when key is on
The brown/white wire goes to the signal bulbs
The yellow/green is the auto cancel signal.
The "flashing" comes from the two brown wires being switched together. They are opposite each other in the plug.
The flasher you have makes contact with the L and B terminals. It is not compatable with the Yamaha plug.
Contact(PM) our parts supplier Chacal, he can hook you up with one that will. Is is also possible to rearrange the wires in the plug to make it work but easier to get another relay.
