My turn signals have been acting weird on my 82 seca 750 reciently. when i turn on the right side they flash fine, but on the left side theyy won't continue to flash. I push the rocker to the left and it will flash on one then not ome on again, but if i hold the switchh to the left they will flash normally. could there be a problem with my auto canceling unit or something? i'm stuck. any help would be appreciated.

are both turn signals (front and back) coming on?

also check for corrosion, i am in the middle of fixing a similar problem with my '81 750 SECA i bought recently. Only the position of the switch makes no diffrence... well i guess ill check just to be sure, but i know the front bulb rarely lights which is why its not flashing... jsut a thought

It does sound like a switch contact problem... if you hold it across and they work, then that's the difference between when you don't hold it across... of course I suppose the flasher unit could be the problem too.

Had a similar problem. It was corrosion in the turn indicator cluster. Cleaned off the contacts and was back in business.
