I have a electrical issue with my bike. None of the turn signal works.

I don't really now anything about electrical.

I honestly don't know where to start.

I've look at other turn signal threads.

How would I go about diagnosing the problem

    I have a 1982 xj650 with a little over 30,000 miles.

When I bought the bike none of the turn signal work at all. Do not turn on or flash.

Someone put after market signals on it.

The bulb size they have in it is a 12v10/5w bulb.

I was reading on another thread that xjbike that I might need a 27w bulb.

Pic attached is the bulb p.o had in it

you are going to need a test light or meter.
    do you have glass fuses?

you will need a flasher to work with the bulbs you have

My stock turnsignals will light up, but not flash unless there are 27w bulbs.

Using aftermarket, as stated by XJ550H, you will have to replace the flasher, and unless modified, you will lose self cancelling.
