Here is a good head scratcher for you all....

Tonight, while going to work, my left turn signals stopped working. However, the right side are working. I'm leading torwards a faulty switch or wiring. The bulbs don't appear to be burned out.

Any one else ever have this issue with thier XJ?

If they are the 2 wire type look at the ground wire.

Fronts ground to chassis within the housing. Rears are two wire.

Ok all you schematic gurus out there...

    Check my thoughts here...

Brown is the power wire to most lighting. Brown/white should be power through the flasher to the turn signal switch. From there power either goes to the dark green wire(right side) or to the ch (left side)(wtf color is Ch?). Also from the switch, the yellow/red wire from the canceling unit grounds to the black wire in either position other than neutral.

    Am I correct thus far?

If so I can conclude that since I know I have power at the brown/white wire AND my right signals work, I also have power at the switch that should go to the Ch wire? However, that side is not working front or rear. I am to conclude that my contacts are not working within my switch that should mate the brown/white to the Ch color wire?

    Ok. Ch is dark brown.

I should have read the legend at the top of the page.

    My bad

Ok. I have them working again. The contacts were all nasty. Cleaned out the housing. Lubed up the moving parts. Now all is well with my turn signals.

Sorry to have troubled the masses.

Be careful. Just to clarify, there are both "brown" and "chocolate" wires in there. CH=chocolate.
