    Hey all,

I'm midway through my 1985 XJ700's bobber project and I've hit a dilemma. I bought aftermarket turn signals for the bike and the rear ones hooked up nice and easy but I'm having issues with the front. As I'm sure most of you know, there are two filaments in the front blinker bulb; one as a running light and one as the blinker. The issue is that my aftermarkets are only one filament, which is alright, I don't necessarily need front running lights IMHO.

So I have them hooked up with the running light disconnected and just the blinker wire going to the bulb, along with the ground. Is there a way I can have it so the running light wire doesn't play a part? Right now, it blinks very fast because it is not hooked up correctly. Something with the relay perhaps?

I tried hooking a resistor like the ground and running light wire to try and "trick" the relay into thinking it was actually passing through the running filament but it didn't work at all.

Long winded, I know, but do you guys have any ideas? I'm no wiring guru...

Blinking very fast has nothing to to with teh running light circuit. What turn signals did you get? Bulb wattage matters.
