I am looking at some hard saddlebags but they have red lenses built in. Can I use these as turn signals in Canada, or do they have to be amber like my stock lenses. I know cars can have either red or amber signals, but does it matter for motorcycles? Just curious.

    I'm 99% sure it doesn't matter. :)

Nope - doesn't matter, as long as they're rear facing.

I might be making this up, but I believe I read a thread a while ago that you cannot use red for running lights in Ontario, but turn signals shouldn't matter. Might wanna check up on that if you are thinking about using them as running lights too. Turn signals should be perfectly fine though!

If that's true, then there's a crap ton of cars and trucks out there that are breakin the law :) (Rear facing i mean, red on front = bad)

Correction -- AMBER running lights are LEGAL in both directions.
Red running lights can be REAR facing ONLY.

I stand corrected again haha. I'm just gonna shut up now and go back to installing my LED turn signals.... Sorry for the confusion all!
