My windjammer fairing has a connection for "running lights", I tried tapping that wire into the lowbeam connection on the fairing side of the wiring harness. It worked perfectly, when my low beam is on I have running lights (they turn off with high beam tho, should've known) but thats not my issue. The issue is when I try to use my turn signals with the running lights on, the right turn signal works fine but the left turn signal only blinks a couple times very slowly and then stays solid.

My left signal also blinks slightly slower when the running lights aren't hooked up.

I remember the flasher works off of voltage draw but I don't get why the right signal would be getting the right draw and not the left, could it be bad wiring or connection somewhere?

The bulbs in the turn signals/running lights on the fairing are the dual filament 1157 type

Hoooking up the running lights probably has no direct connection to the turn signal issue. Go through all of the signal wiring and check for corrosion at the conectors. I would wire the running lamps to their own circuit using a relay that is triggered by the headlight circuit.

so disconnect the running lights from head light. does the problem continue?
if you are going to tap into something tap into your tail light or lic. plate light both are always on always on

Nope when the running light lead is disconnected the left signal blinks slightly slower (than the right) but it flashes until the self canceller kicks in or I push in the switch. Unlike when the running lights are connected and the signal only blinks twice max before staying solid and not triggering the flasher relay anymore. (Only on the left side, the right side works perfectly with the runners hooked up or not)

That coupled with the fact that the turn signals and running lights share the same bulb and socket it seems like theyre connected somehow

I did have to re solder the ground to the bulb socket on that side when I bought the fairing, now that I think about it.
