Probably been covered a million times. Present tyres are Michelin Macadam 50's, 120/90/18 rear, 100/90/18 front. What pressure should i be running, carry a pillion ~60Kg's half the time and i'm in at ~90Kg's. Running 245kpa at the moment. Due for a new rear very soon, what is a good everyday tyre for commuting and the occasional "fang". Can i go wider? or should i stick to the factory sizes. :?:

Stick with the stock sizes - keeps the handling correct, and don't have to worry about clearance issues.

I run with 32psi / 220kpa in the front, and 36psi / 250kpa in the rear. Seems to work for pretty much everything.

I have been pretty happy with my Dunlops GT501s stock sizes. Most are made to run as matched pairs nowadays so might be worth thinking of if the front doesn't need replacing.Ran Avons a few years ago never had any drama with those either.
I am finding that I have to order tyres in these sizes nowadays most shops dont seem to carry them on the shelf.
