    Hey folks,

So I just finally got round to fixing the rats nest of wires under the tank and shortening the harness - figured I'd share what I did here. It's not 100% perfect, still needs some more clean up but it's 1000 times better then before.

Got these low profile terminal blocks from mouser

I used a 16 and an 8 as there's a slight bend to the frame at that break. I just didn't want to deal with bending the block. These blocks are super-super glued to the frame under the tank.

Then I cut back all the wires to the right lengths and crimped and terminated then all with pre-insulated fork connectors...

Then cut back and all connections and crimped with pre-insulated fork ends.

Now the tank fits on perfectly and there's about a 1/4 inch between the tank and the block so to prevent arching to the metal of the tank I sprayed the underside of the tank with a couple of coats of liquid electrical tape :) -- and also covered the terminals with three overlapping strips of tape, just for insurance.

I need to go back and rewire the speedo and tach with 16 gauge wires instead of the crappy 22 gauge they came with at which point I can get rid of those bullet connectors you see here.

All in all I'm pretty happy with how it came out -- Now I just need to label everything :)
