universal fenders

    i'm having a hell of a time trying to find a fender for my xs400j. somebody mentioned to me about places that can make generics without pre-drilled holes by providing them the width of the space between the front forks, and the size of the front wheel.

    has anybody else ever heard of this?

    front fender or rear fender? i know a guy who has both as he has stripped the bike to make a pulse out of it.
