UP and running ....

    Just wanted to touch base with the group; eight weeks ago, I was pulling my hair out because my bike was newly purchased (82' xj750rj Seca) and running lean and hot due to a PO's addition of a Vance and Hines 4/1 header. He "could not remember" whether he had the bike rejetted at its last maintenance session. So, I ended up rebuilding the carbs. and adding chacal's main jets and pilot jets as per his printed recommendations. The bike clearly has improved in performance and seems to be very happy with new jets and clean carbs. I would like to personally thank chacal for his helpful input and expedient mailing of the parts that were needed; he is really the "go to" guy" when it comes to parts for the xj750. Kmoe, thanks for your input as well. This is a great forum for us die-hard xj fans...thanks for being here everyone.
