    Hi Guys,
I've got a question related to the subject. I see a light mist of oil beside some of the cover bolts and I'm about to replace them. Are those seals are removable or I have to order a new set of bolts because those seals are not removable from the bolts?

I've checked in the Haynes manual but it wasn't clear for me.

Sorry I dont know about the seals, you might check Chacal in the forums section of this site, in the market place.

I for one would like to see pictures of this bike and would like to know what the jug swap took and how you like it.

You can see a few pictures in the "Rat Racer" topic however those pics are not the best. Yesterday I found a place where I can make the pictures which will show how the bike is looking IRL so tomorrow I will make a few to post.

Regarding your question. It's dead easy. I would say it's just a slip on swap. No rocket science or anything. Just simple / usual disassembly of the top end. As far as I know the 650, 750, 900 parts are interchangeable more or less. There are things like valves which can't be changed easily because the 900 uses larger ones but that's for next winter :)

The hard thing was to sort out the carburation. It took me almost a year to find the proper fuel jets, air jets, needle positions, float levels, everything. But she's fine now. I would say 98 percent. The 2 percent occurs when I give her a WOT around 25 in fifth. In this case she starts to hesitate a lot without real acceleration but that vanishes with speed: over 38 MPH she accepts WOT without complaints. But I think I know what the solution is. It will turn out at the evening.

What my real problem is at the moment is the clutch. It can't cope with the amount of torque what the engine pushes out. I won a cheap TRX850 clutch assembly on ebay (it uses six springs instead of five) which is stronger than the 650 / 750. There is a pretty good chance that it will fit into the engine. We'll see in a few weeks time :)

Seals can be replaced although when you get it apart it won't be apparent quite HOW; just HACK the old ones off, the new ones pop on OK since they are actually still flexible.

They only appear to be non-removable because they get rock hard.
