valve pads

    so I started stripping an extra motor I have for the parts, 750 X and as I'm reading the valve pad number, I noticed a 178 a 182 and a 188.

    im not quite sure on how I would use these, or if I can. as the chart rounds by 5 increments,

    and ill prob toss the caps cause they looked chewed up,

    use them based on the measured gap. I try to bring my valves as close to each other as possible. but it is easier for me being an airhead I also use some bmw shims

    Not sure why they would be chewed up, but I wouldn't toss them. The in between sizes are very helpful when setting up the clearances so you can be more precise on the X. With the extended valve check interval, you'll want to have them as close to the spec as possible.
