    Hi.. sorry if this has been asked before.
    whats the correct way in measuring clearance of shims is the cam lobe just pointing upward or is it suppose to be “inline” with the valve being measured? Im getting different readings and obviously confused :(

    cam lobe should be pointing away from the shim, so you're measuring the greatest gap, then the engine is turned to measure the others that wer'nt pointing away.
