Riding yesterday I noticed I am getting a really high frequency vibration between 55 and 60 mph. I notice it more in the seat than the handlebars, but I can't really tell where its coming from. Any ideas on where to start?

Rear wheel out of balance? Rear wheel bearings maybe? Differential bearings gone south? U-joint is bad? Drive shaft out of balance or bent? Bearing on engine where drive shaft comes out could be bad.

Find out if its 55-60 mph or if it's 5500 - 6000 rpm by riding it in fourth.

The XJ650 has a high frequency "buzz" in that rpm range.
