    Been looking and looking for backrest and pad for 83 xj550, wife would like when she rides along. May have to make 1 to fit. As enjoy warm body on backside !

    Also want a backrest and luggage rack. I have a XJ650R Seca. Seems rare. Do you have a Seca or Maxim? I'll share my finds if you do the same.

    I have a maxim. Can't even find new to fit . But will post if locate 1. Think will start bending steel and fabricate one. Have a few weeks before weather warm enough for wife.

    I had the same problem finding one for my 81 Seca. In case anyone's interested, here was my solution:

    These "universal" type backrests seem to get few bids, and so I picked mine up off ebay for $1 plus shipping. That plus a few bucks worth of hardware and your set!
