Ok, so i just parted with my atari box gauges for my 82 xj750 maxim and was thinking about buying some smaller chrome ones from mikesxs but i happened to run across these and was wondering if they would wire into my harness (or plug in) The gauges i want from mikes will be close to $200 and i thought i might be able to save some cash with this route. anyone have these and know if this will work or have suggestions? thanks.

If they are off of an 82 650, you are good since they both use the electronic tach. If it is off of an 80-81, the tach is cable driven and you would need to do quite a bit of work to get them to work. There will be some odd connectors you won't need anymore, I'll work with you to identify them and jumper them where needed.
