    Okay, I pulled a bonehead noob mechanic trick...when putting one of my carbs back together, I didn't have the jet needle lined up right. To make matters worse, I assumed something else was the problem, and tightened the cover back on. Now the jet needle looks like a candy cane, with a big curve in the bottom. :oops:

    I can have the local Yamaha place order me one (for close to $70 with tax), but I figured first I'd see if anyone here happened to have one they could part with, and what they'd want for it...

    Sounds like a bone yard part, should be around $30 or less. Bought the whole diaphram w/ needle for my 350 honda for about that much.

    There are a couple sets of carbs on ebay right know. Maybe get a set cheap.
