My tank has seen much better days. Had a mechanic clean it out along with the carbs. It still looks bad on the inside. Would love to have a replacement. Does anyone know what other tanks will fit? Thanks for the help. Dean

Did you try the washing soda and battery charger cleaning method? Some have tryed that and had good results.

I had the tank "cleaned" at a radiator shop. Not sure what they did.The bike is running great and I really would feel better if I had a known good tank on it. As for the 650. How is the inside? The out side will be painted. Do not need the Yamaha decals. Any pics? Thanks!

If there are no holes inside and it was cleaned buy some tank sealer (ie Por-15) and call it good. Then get it repainted.

If worried about the cleaning job, search here and reclean it your self.

I wouldn't buy a tank unless you have to or find one dirt cheap. In that case you'd have to clean, seal and repaint it anyways.

If have lots of $$ a user was selling his fully restored one with all new parts. CCulloy (wrong spelling). Look in the sale forum.
