Amazing how prorities change... Ended up selling the '80 XJ650 Maxim. was a good winter project and came out nice with a little profit.

Maybe now I can finish the carbs on my XV700 Virago and sell it as well.

Off to Fish for a week with the son as schools out now.

    Ya'll have a great Memorial Day !

You know, in the near future, you'll be looking for another one to work on.....

I agree... I'm not even done with the first one and I'm looking for another one to wrench on already. It's an addiction!

I hear you. I have two now and am contemplating a third for the *future*. Gotta make sure there are no gaps! Unfortunately, if I pick up the third I'll have a big gap in my marriage! :)

Had a call from the new owner... he got rear ended this past weekend...

Told me that the insurance co is going to total it. I told him to see what it would take for me to buy it back from the insurance co after they settle.

Only rear end damage, fender, lights, wheel, seat...

That didn't take long now did it ! Lol

aw man....that really bites the big one!!

If you can buy it back, then by all means do it. My only concern is that the rear swingarm might be bent.

Well I wasn't able to buy it back, (sigh...) but the new owner got it totaled and collected $1000 and then bought it back for $200 !

I ended up picking up a couple of projects this past weekend.
