    Hi guys,

'81 XJ550 Seca, in the process of replacing the header gaskets and noticed that cylinder 1 (counting from left to right) is 'wet'; the other 3 are dry.
I had a buddy ride behind me for about 1 hr, no oil smoke or anything.
The bike sits upright in a chock.
What am I missing? Life treatening?

    Thank you for the feedback.

    Robert

Is it wet with oil or gas?
Wet with gas is a carb or ignition problem.
Wet with oil is problems in the rings or valve guide seal.

Along with doing a smell test. Pull the plug on that cylinder, and check to see if it is also wet.
