    Hey guys,

Another lead, ha! Can someone let me know what are the acceptable range for compression for the 81 XJ750R? I'm hoping to go check it out next week, wish me luck! I've been looking at a few bikes over the last while since the wreck, but i keep coming back to the XJs!!!

I would except anything over 125 and as long as there all within 15 psi of each other. All depends on how many miles and how it's been ridden lately.
If you really want to see get a leak down tester and you will know the condition of each cylinder.

My good running bikes show 147's , but this depends on the gauge.
