I just acquired one hell of a good parts bike, but aside from the parts I need for my bike, I was going to save the Rims, Chain, headlight and such. My question is aside from the basics are there any other parts I should hold on to. I have limited space for storage so I need to keep what I save to a minimum.

Also out of curiosity why is it that the right side covers are always the ones that seem to be destroyed? I lucked out with the parts bike as the right side cover is in excellent shape.

Because it's the one removed most often. Grommets get loose, cover flies off at 70MPH, gets run over by a Mack truck, etc.

The exhaust is in excellent shape aside from a couple very small dents, The side covers are in excellent condition as well. The would bike seems to have been well maintained aside from a few layers of dust. The seat unfortunately looks like someone got bored, stabbed and shredded it... Honestly I am going to strip pretty much everything off to see whats good and what store it in rubber maid containers until I need the parts. I am sorry the gas tank is gone but Honestly I already got my monies worth.
