I will be replacing my clutch in a couple weeks... friction plates, springs, gaskets...ect.
Should I replace the main plates as well, or just inspect them when I take it apart?
I will also replace my valve cover gasket as it has been seeping since I did the valve job on it.
Is there anything else I should replace while I doing the clutch?

    Thanks.
    Ron.

Check everything. It doesn't take that long. Have you read Fitz's clutch replacement thread? That spells it out pretty well. The plain plates SHOULD be fine, but you still wanna clean them up with scotchbrite or something similar.

I decided to replace the main plates as well since I will already have everything apart.

I placed my order today but I probably should have waited.
I had inguinal hernia surgery yesterday (Fri) and am on some pretty good meds! lol
I might have ordered a wrong part :(
But I'm pretty sure Chacal will straighten it out for me. ;)

Wait until the meds wear off so you don't brake the colortune and synch the rear tire.
