What is it, FZ,FJ or Radian?

    Can you tell by the vin number on the motor what it is? 1JU-003973

    I'm not sure but if it has 30mm carbs instead of 32, its and FZ.

    Are you sure you have the right VIN? My recollection is that the "1J" designation was assigned to the older SR bikes, and possibly a few RDs way back in the day. I could be wrong , though.
    Call Yamaha USA or your local dealer. They should be able to help you out.

    Thanks guys I had the numbers wrong. I found out it is a Radian motor, just as I suspected from the gold valve cover. I was wondering what cam shafts the motor had in it.
