I took my carbs off the bike. Everything appears to be ok just a little gummy. What should I use to clean everything up and how do I go about doing it. My tank has rust inside and I am getting ready to seal it. I installed a net petcock and inline filter. Plus I was going to find someone to recover my seat. Since I have a little time, i was wanting to know the best way to clean my carbs.

    Thanks

I had my buddy at a shop carb dip the brass pieces and I used spray carb cleaner on the rest when I did mine a couple years back and they are still going strong. I have also maintained it with periodic use of Fuel-stabil once every 5th or 6th fill up.

Look at the post CLEANING YOUR CARBS and that may be the best way to clean them if your not good with carbs. If you want to spend the monery on a cleaner it works well and you can use the cleaner for other things.
