I've used ABS pipe glue from ACE hardware.

It's some form of ABS; but only some "ABS glues" work on it. Berryman's Carb Cleaner will "attack" the plastic and it will stick together; but it doesn't stay stuck. It's some weird ABS-ish plastic "alloy" of some sort.

The ABS cement I tried (from the hobby shop) didn't work. Go with the recommendations of people who've actually had success.

It is ABS, and I use ABS-specific cement by OATES. It is black gooey stuff in a red/white can. Not easy to find, and I have to source out a new can, myself, as I just ran out.

Is it "Oates" or "Oatey"? If it's "Oatey", then it can be found on Amazon.

    Oatey black ABS cement

I use plastifix and make sure you clean the area to be fixed then grove the crack. Then get some matalic tape to cover the crack on the painted side the tape is used to keep the two sides even and closed. if the crack is large I first repair with the plastifix then I reinforce it by putting some fiberglass matte, used for body work, over the repair then I use plastifix on this. I sprinkle the powder on to cover the fiberglass then add the liquid.
