    Hello,
I've seen xj550 and xj550R Seca's. What's the difference and how do I know what mine is?
    Thanks.

I know I have a Seca. But, when buying parts for it sometimes things are listed for xj550 or xj550R. I was wondering if it the "R" even mattered.
    Thanks.

    oh - :)

No - not in this case I don't think. I think all xj secas are R and all maxims are non-R. The thing is alot of people will say xj550 seca instead of xj550r...

Just double check all parts are for a seca and you'll be find. If you're talking about ebay sellers most of the big sellers didn't use the parts - they just get stock and sell it - often with no clue as to what it really is. Try and buy forks for a 600 ninja - there are A, B, C model forks which interchange, D, E, G and H which AFAIK don't interchange. Many times they'll just say 94 Ninja 600 forks - which could have been C, D or E... and they are all different.

Luckily with the 550 - they should work for all years...
