I have always thought the 550 Seca was quite a peppy little bike. I think I made a big mistake today. Honda had a demo ride on today and I took a CBF 1000 for a test ride. The CBF is a Canada and Europe only model. They market it as an Adventure bike but it looks like a standard sport touring model to me. The engine is a de-tuned CBR mill that makes 100 hp and 70 ft lb torque. Roll ons at highway speeds are crazy. Why do they need to make 170 -200 Hp bikes? Anyways, after the ride I hopped on the Seca and took off. I immediately looked to see if the anchor was still out. Nope. Checked if the parking brake was on. Nope. Looked to see if two cylinders had fallen off. Nope. After a while I came back to earth and came to terms with the Seca. I still love this bike but some day I'll have a big new sport touring rig.

    Ok, I'll bite.
Why does your location prevent you from owning a CBF1000

We have had the CBF 1000 since '07 or '08 and now for 2010 we have the CBF 600 in Canada too. Both these bikes are on my short list of bikes I'd buy.
