1. Some members were not receiving emails sent from XJbikes.com. For example: "Forgot your password?" function to reset your password would not send email to some members. I believe this has been resolved now. Please use "Contact Us" form (see page footer link) if you still have email issues. SnoSheriff

We should form an XJ Motorcycle club. I think it would be fun besides I don't think there are any XJ clubs around anyway. What do you guys think?

Isn't that what this is? You know I like you Spark but with members spread out so far, I doubt that you'd get much more participation by forming a real live club then you already have with some guys doing carb clinics and stuff. I attend a lot of Vintage events on this side of the Mississippi and from what I've seen in the past couple years, this isn't a group that's into that sort of thing despite the fact that all of our XJ's are Vintage bikes. In fact I'm riding up to an event on Friday in PA but didn't bother posting after only one member put out the effort to meet up with another member at the countries largest event in July.

Different forums have different "missions" or at least the majority of the members do....and this one just seems to be made up of mostly younger guys trying to get a cheap ride. Not that there's anything wrong with that. They come here seeking and receiving help from the dozen or so older guys who know their stuff. Other forums I belong to are very "meeting other members" oriented and have regular meets and a lot of guys make the effort to meet up when they go to different events, a couple have annual "meets" where everyone gets together for a couple of days.

I'm not trying to burst your bubble, just letting you know what you might find.

I'm with JeffK on this one.

I bought my bike because it was cheap. I ride to be alone. I have ridden with guys from this site, been to and hosted carb clinics and it's fun in moderation.

I've never really understood why people take up a mostly solo activity and then go find a group to do it with.
