If the engine is cold and I try to start with choke while the engine is rich would this cuase the engine to not start? I have rebuilt carbs, I know it needs to be tuned witch is what I am doing soon. I think it is running rich right now. If it were rich would this cause the choke to not work? I can start the bike by turning it over then giving it gas. The choke works fine after that. I cleaned the enrichment cuircut good. Also If it is running rich do I turn the mixture screws out to lean it out.

I also read a artical about the the cheaper paper gaskets haveing the hole not punched out..... Witch I think I remembered thinking... Why is this hole coverd.. when installing them, but I have a picture of one of my gaskets and the hole was punched out... I mean I am pretty sure if I saw one gasket different from the other I would have done some thing about it.

Once it gets warmed up it runs. It is not perfect though. It needs to be tuned. Once it is warmed up It will fire right up and it idles fine.

after you try and start it and it wont kick over pull out the plugs. if they're wet with gas then yes. you're rich. tuning required.

Other way. Backing out the mixture screws richens the mixture.

HHHmm, Thanks. I get confused about them some times. Once this thing is tuned a little and I get the new brakes on it.. It might just be a nice ride!
